Mission Statement of Sperrin PE Department
At Sperrin College, we believe that Physical education and sport have a vital role to play in the social, moral, spiritual and cultural development of our pupils. Physical education and sport are an important feature in the life of our school in that they give our pupils the tools they need to be able to make positive and responsible choices that will impact on their own health and well-being, now and in the future.
We aim to do this by following a professional, safe working, child centred approach that embraces inclusivity, integration and an all ability ethos.
The physical activity curriculum in Sperrin College aims to provide pupils with the opportunity to take part in a wide range of sports and physical activities carried out in a safe and supportive environment where effort, hard work, sportsmanship, success, and excellence are equally celebrated.
