Adverse Weather
In the event of adverse weather, the following advice should be followed:
Pupils and staff are to take extreme care when travelling to and from school.
Whole school and Form assembly will be cancelled.
The hockey pitch and all grass areas will be strictly out of bounds.
Pupils must use the walkways for shelter.
Pupils must remain indoors as much as possible. Use the refectory in the first instance.
Form rooms will be open in the mornings – pupils will be permitted to make their way to their form room before the 9:00am bell.
PE classes will take place indoors.
IN THE EVENT OF A SCHOOL CLOSURE
In the very unlikely event of a school closure parents/guardians will be communicated with as soon as possible via text message. We will also post details on our social media pages and on the school website.
Closing the school is not a decision that is taken lightly. Very often the decision can only be made on the morning of the severe weather event. We appreciate your understanding of this fact.
